Politecnico di Torino
The conference will take place at Politecnico di Torino (www.polito.it). Politecnico di Torino is one of the leading institutions to study engineering and architecture in Italy.
Established in 1906, the present-day institution was preceded by the Scuola di Applicazione per gli Ingegneri (Technical School for Engineers) which was founded in 1859 and the Museo Industriale Italiano (Italian Industry Museum) founded in 1862 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade and Industry.
The Politecnico di Torino, which in 2019 celebrated its 160th academic year from its foundation, has become over the years a reference point for education and a Research University of international level, where tradition meets the future.
How to reach the venue:
Airport “Sandro Pertini” – Torino Caselle (TRN) is 40 minutes by car. Please consider that during rush hours it may take 1 hour.
There are regular shuttle buses of various companies from the Airport to the city centre and vice versa every half an hour. The preferable bus stop in the city centre is Torino Porta Susa (train station). Then, follow the by train instructions.
From the Porta Susa station you can either walk (15 minutes) or take the tramway 10 (direction Settembrini) at the bus stop named “XVIII Dicembre place” and get out at the fourth bus stop (Corso Duca degli Abruzzi-Politecnico).
There is only one metro line in Torino. The metro station nearest to Politecnico is the Vinzaglio station, which is 5 minutes walk from Politecnico. Once you get out of the metro go along corso Duca degli Abruzzi in the south direction (opposite to the city centre).
Buses 58, 58/, 33 and tramway 16 have a bus stop at Politecnico.
